Short Term Counselling in the Sexual Assault Crisis Program (SACP):

Sharing your feelings with a counsellor can help you re-affirm your own strength and self-worth. The sexual assault crisis program (SACP) offers short-term counselling (up to 12 weeks) and focuses on sexual assault trauma.

We see survivors of any gender, ages 12 and up. The approach is client-centered and the client is an active participant in the counselling process. The amount of time that has passed since the assault is not a determining factor in providing counselling.

Counselling is also available to any friends or family members (secondary victims) who have been impacted by the sexual assault or are struggling to understand the impact on sexual violence on a loved one. There is no fee for this service.

Information for Service Providers:

If you know someone who could benefit from counselling related to a sexual assault, please provide them with the intake number and ask them to call us directly. They may need to leave a message. Please do not leave a message on someone else’s behalf as we accept self-referrals only.
