Overview

We offer cervical cancer screenings for anyone with a cervix, ages 21 to 69. You can also get tested for STIs at the same time.

What is a Pap test?

A Pap test is a test that looks for changes in the cervix that could lead to cancer. The cervix is the lower part of the uterus that connects to the top of the vagina.

During a Pap test, a doctor or nurse takes a small sample of cells from the cervix and sends it to a lab. Most of the time, the cells are normal. But sometimes, abnormal cells could become cancerous if left untreated. Regular Pap tests and follow-ups for abnormal results can prevent most cervical cancers.
