STBBI Testing and Treatment
Sex-positive walk-in STI testing on a first-come, first-served basis.
Overview
We offer routine testing, treatment, and/or advice for sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections (STBBIs).
What is STBBI testing?
STBBIs are infections spread through sexual contact, sharing needles, or skin-to-skin contact. Some STBBIs can be treated, while others can be cured with medication. Getting tested regularly is a great way to take care of your sexual health. It also helps prevent the spread of infections to others.
The testing method for STBBIs will vary based on the type of infection. It could be a simple urine test, a blood sample, or a swab taken from the genital area or throat. Sometimes a nurse or doctor does the test, and sometimes you can test yourself.
STBBI Testing and Treatment: Who it’s for and how it works
Even if you have no symptoms, you should get routine STBBI testing if:
- You are sexually active.
- You had sex without condoms or other barriers of protection.
- Your partner(s) have any STBBI symptoms.
- You know your current or past partner(s) has or had an STBBI.
- You or your partner(s) have been sexually active with other people.
- You or your partner(s) have shared needles for drugs, tattooing, or piercing.
- You or your partner(s) have shared sex toys.
Many STBBIs don’t show clear signs, so testing is key for your sexual health. It ensures you and your partners remain healthy and safe.
You might experience STBBI symptoms. Watch for pain when you pee, skin changes like bumps or sores, itchy genitals, and unusual discharge. If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s a good idea to get tested.
STBBI Testing and Treatment is a walk-in service offered on a first-come, first-served basis—no appointment needed. The last appointment will be held one hour before closing.
