This half-day workshop raises awareness about suicide. Participants will look at what suicide means and how it affects our lives. ASIST – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

ASIST is a two-day course that teaches basic suicide intervention skills.

ASIST was created by Livingworks and is delivered by Klinic. It offers a clear way to deal with suicide situations. ASIST participants around the world have gained the skills and confidence to help those at risk of suicide.

Who this training is for

ASIST is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent suicide.

What you will learn

Key learning areas include:

  • Identifying the warning signs and risk factors for suicide.
  • Recognizing when you need to intervene.
  • Developing skills to manage a suicide crisis.
  • Supporting at-risk individuals and creating safety plans.
  • Practicing intervention skills in a caring, hands-on space.

You must attend both full days of training to get the ASIST certificate.
