Truth and Reconciliation Commission Commitment
Klinic knows the health system hasn’t always been fair. We’re learning from Indigenous people and working to make things better through respect, action, and real change.
Our commitments to Truth and Reconciliation
Klinic supports the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. We are working to:
- Learn about the impact of colonization and racism on healthcare.
- Build respectful relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Include Indigenous voices in planning, leadership, and decision-making.
- Offer safe, respectful, and culturally informed care.
- Reflect on how Klinic benefits from colonial systems and take action to change that.
- Train staff on cultural safety, Indigenous history, and anti-racism.
- Use land acknowledgments in a meaningful and consistent way.
- Make sure our policies, hiring, and programs support fairness and inclusion.
- Use data and research to improve programs and support Indigenous clients.
- Support Indigenous-led movements and team up with others to drive change.
- Respect Indigenous knowledge and support community-led care.
