Primary Care: Who it’s for and how it works

You can get primary care at Klinic if the following applies to you:

  • You either live in our catchment area or you do not have a home. If your postal code begins with R3A, R3B, R3C, R3E, or R3G, then you live in our catchment area, AND
  • You are part of a priority population. Priority populations include:
    • Racialized individuals.
    • Indigenous people.
    • People without stable housing or who are homeless.
    • People without enough insurance or with no insurance.

You can see a doctor, a nurse, or a social worker to meet your care needs in one place. Our services include:

  • General medical care.
  • Chronic disease management.
  • Immigrant/refugee health.
  • Latent TB treatment.
  • Unplanned pregnancy support.
  • Pap testing.
  • STBBI testing and treatment.
  • Teen and youth services.
  • Addiction support (including Methadone/Suboxone).

No. To access primary care at Klinic, you must have an appointment, live in our service area, and be part of a priority population.

For immediate routine medical care and non-urgent health concerns like physical check-ups, vaccinations, prescription refills, and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, you can visit the following walk-in clinics in the West Broadway neighbourhood.
