Get respectful care that’s easy to access. With an emphasis on prevention, health promotion, and education, we address the needs of the individual, helping our clients make informed choices about their health.
Primary Care: Who it’s for and how it works
You can get primary care at Klinic if the following applies to you:
- You either live in our catchment area or you do not have a home. If your postal code begins with R3A, R3B, R3C, R3E, or R3G, then you live in our catchment area, AND
- You are part of a priority population. Priority populations include:
- Racialized individuals.
- Indigenous people.
- People without stable housing or who are homeless.
- People without enough insurance or with no insurance.
Already a Klinic client? Ask your care provider about primary care.
You can see a doctor, a nurse, or a social worker to meet your care needs in one place. Our services include:
- General medical care.
- Chronic disease management.
- Immigrant/refugee health.
- Latent TB treatment.
- Unplanned pregnancy support.
- Pap testing.
- STBBI testing and treatment.
- Teen and youth services.
- Addiction support (including Methadone/Suboxone).
No. To access primary care at Klinic, you must have an appointment, live in our service area, and be part of a priority population.
For immediate routine medical care and non-urgent health concerns like physical check-ups, vaccinations, prescription refills, and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, you can visit the following walk-in clinics in the West Broadway neighbourhood.
