Vicarious Trauma

This three-hour workshop will explore what vicarious trauma is and how it affects both our minds and bodies. Participants will identify common warning signs and risk factors, and gain tools and strategies to help prevent and manage its effects.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Course

Klinic’s Hummingbird Program is offering the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Didactic Course this April, a 40-hour continuing education opportunity for licensed and registered nurses. Led by expert Hummingbird practitioners, this week-long training provides the theory and knowledge needed to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals who have experienced sexual assault. Suicide Intervention

This half-day workshop explores the context and meaning of suicide, focusing on recognition, assessment, intervention, and prevention. Participants will learn compassionate, non-judgmental approaches to support those at risk and ensure safety.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

This two-day interactive workshop equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to provide life-saving support to individuals at risk of suicide.
Date: April 28 & 29 (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Cost: $300
Crisis Counselling Skills

This one-day workshop introduces the basics of crisis theory and essential communication skills for crisis intervention. Participants will learn fundamental counselling techniques, crisis development, a crisis intervention model, and basic suicide assessment. The session includes role-playing and hands-on activities.

Trauma-Informed Care

This half-day workshop introduces trauma and the principles of Trauma-Informed Care, highlighting ways to integrate a trauma-sensitive approach in everyday interactions. The session also includes mindfulness practices and time for self-reflection.
