Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

❗ Workshop is fully booked. ❗ This two-day, interactive workshop will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to provide life-saving support to individuals at risk of suicide. Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 23, 2025 8:30 a.m. to  4:30 p.m. Viscount Gort Hotel (1670 Portage Ave.) $250  

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Course

Klinic’s Hummingbird program is now offering the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) didactic course – a 40-hour continuing education opportunity for licensed and registered nurses. Led by expert Hummingbird practitioners, this week-long training covers the theory and knowledge needed to provide care for those who have experienced sexual assault. This course meets the International Association of Forensic Nurses’ Education Guidelines. Suicide Prevention – CANCELLED

This half-day workshop explores the context and meaning of suicide, with a focus on recognition, assessment, intervention, and prevention. Participants will learn compassionate, non-judgmental approaches to support those at risk and promote safety. Trauma-Informed Care

This half-day workshop introduces trauma and the principles of Trauma-Informed Care, highlighting ways to integrate a trauma-sensitive approach in everyday interactions. The session also includes mindfulness practices and time for self-reflection. Surgery Referral Info Session

Are you looking for more information about the surgery referral process for gender-affirming surgery? Join the Trans Health team on the last Wednesday of the month to discuss an overview of feminizing and masculinizing gender-affirming surgeries, the surgery referral process, and other things to expect!
