Holey socks it’s December! ❄️ Where did they year go, under all this snow? It might be the season to get all warm and cozy like a hibernating bear but we’re still red hot and raring to go with all we’ve got to offer. Here is all you need to know about what’s happening at Klinic (and what already happened) this month.

Giving Tuesday
Klinic SERVED … some soup! Last week on Giving Tuesday, we wanted to try something different and give back to the community that has supported us. We went out in the blistering winds to hand out some soup from Shelly’s Bistro over lunch to our neighbours to warm up and chat. Here’s your reminder to give back to the people and organizations who sustain and nourish our communities and make us stronger!
Staff Recognition and Service Awards Lunch
Look, we just LOVE food so much at Klinic. Last week, you may have noticed that Klinic was closed in the middle of Thursday. We had our Staff Recognition and Service Awards Lunch at our West Broadway neighbour, Charisma of India, to celebrate our incredibly hardworking employees and volunteers. Some of them have been with us for over 20 years, and it really warmed our hearts to take a break and share a spicy ❤️🔥 meal together.

On the tenth day of December, Klinic gave to me … a fully booked Vicarious Trauma workshop! Don’t worry, though, we’ll be back with more public education workshops in the new year. For now, here’s a reminder for those who’ve registered for tomorrow’s Vicarious Trauma Workshop:
Vicarious Trauma, Tuesday, December 10
This half-day workshop for service providers will look at the definition of trauma, and vicarious trauma, as well as the impact of trauma on our minds and bodies.
