Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Course

Klinicā€™s Hummingbird program is now offering the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) didactic course – a 40-hour continuing education opportunity for licensed and registered nurses. Led by expert Hummingbird practitioners, this week-long training covers the theory and knowledge needed to provide care for those who have experienced sexual assault. This course meets the International Association of Forensic Nursesā€™ Education Guidelines.

This half-day workshop explores the context and meaning of suicide, with a focus on recognition, assessment, intervention, and prevention. Participants will learn compassionate, non-judgmental approaches to support those at risk and promote safety.

This half-day workshop introduces trauma and the principles of Trauma-Informed Care, highlighting ways to integrate a trauma-sensitive approach in everyday interactions. The session also includes mindfulness practices and time for self-reflection.
