Maybe it’s because the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting cooler, but it’s busy as ever here at Klinic this fall! We hope that you had a wonderful October filled with spooky celebrations and sweet treats, and that you’re fired up for all November has to offer. Here’s a quick reminder of what’s happening this month at Klinic Community Health.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month
This November, it’s time to talk about intimate partner violence. Since 2009, almost 20% of homicides in Canada were committed by the person’s intimate partner. Tune in to Klinic’s social media all month long to observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month and learn more about how you can help break the silence surrounding one of Canada’s most pressing epidemics.

Remembrance Day
On Saturday, November 9 and Monday, November 11, our offices, programs, and drop-in services will be closed in observance of Remembrance Day.
As we pay our respects to the many who gave their lives to fight in the name of peace, let us also reflect on what we must do today to take care of the physical and mental health of those who experienced—and still experience—unilateral violence, genocide, and settler colonialism.
Klinic is regularly closed on Sundays. If you need urgent support during a crisis, the Klinic Crisis Line remain open 24/7 at 204-789-8989 (toll free 1-888-322-3019).
